Charles Troy Presents
Because of a sudden death, Irving Berlin was offered "Annie Get Your Gun" at the last minute. He hemmed and hawed, doubted himself, then finally took it on -- and, at the age of 57, in less than four months, produced his greatest Broadway score for one of the most popular shows of all time! In this presentation, we’ll learn the amazing story behind this show. Berlin then wrote another hit Ethel Merman show, "Call Me Madam," before changing tastes in music sent him into a long, reclusive eclipse. Cabaret favorites Jan Slavin and Kevin Wood will perform several of Berlin’s great songs from this period.
